In our experience we have found that the majority of MSP’s have a great staff of computer techs that are excellent at resolving issues with workstations and stand-alone servers, and smart devices.
However, sometimes opportunities with clients or potentials client sprout up to which your techs have very little experience but the opportunity is too good to turn down. Of course, like most techies they are more than willing to roll up their sleeves and give it a go, but how long will it take for them to get up to speed? With little experience will they be able to troubleshoot and issues that come up? Will you clients be willing to wait while they figure out the issues or research how to implement the technology? What if the time to gain the knowledge and experience exceeds the project deadline you client has specified?
